Got a small but noticeable dent on my driver's side door, probably from someone opening their door into mine in a parking lot, and there's no paint damage at all, just the metal pushed in slightly. I've been told about paintless dent repair where they massage it out from behind without any filler or repainting, which sounds ideal, but I'm sceptical about whether it actually works on every dent or if shops just say that and then end up painting anyway. I came across a Leading dent and paint repair body shop near MBZ City while looking into whether my specific type of dent qualifies, and it seems like location and depth matter a lot, but I'm still not clear on the limits. My questions are what makes a dent suitable for paintless repair versus one that needs traditional work, and how do I verify a shop is actually doing paintless rather than just saying so and then touching up with paint anyway. Also if it doesn't work perfectly will it be obvious, or is it one of those things where you can still faintly see where the dent was?
